Wilma Claudeen Riley

August 14, 1928 — August 17, 2009

Wilma Claudeen Riley, 81, of Buffalo, Iowa, formerly of Mtn. Grove, Missouri, was welcomed into Heaven, and into the loving arms of her husband, Zack, on Monday, August 17, 2009 at her son’s residence in Buffalo, Iowa following an extended illness. She was born to Ewing and Maude (Green) Halliburton on August 14, 1928 near Mtn. Grove, Missouri in Texas County.
She grew up and attended school in Mtn. Grove and graduated from Mtn. Grove High School in 1946. She was united in marriage to Zack Dwayne Riley on September 18, 1954 in West Plains, Missouri. Three wonderful children were born to this union. Over the years they enjoyed vacationing together, especially camping. They moved their family to Iowa in 1966 and retired in 1987 and moved back to Missouri.
Wilma was a true homemaker who enjoyed sewing, crocheting and taking care of her family. She also liked to spend time in Branson with her sister and brother-in-law and visiting with her family. She was a loving and caring person who never met a stranger.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband: Zack Riley on April 4, 2001; one brother: Leland Halliburton; and by two sisters: Betty Lou Halliburton and Fern Elliott.
Those left to honor her memory are her son: Dwayne and his wife, Sheila, of Buffalo, Iowa; three daughters: Linda Loethen and her husband, James, of Fort Meyers, Florida, Nancy Stout and her husband, Dean, of Drury, Missouri, and Annabelle Kimes and her husband, Dave, of Buffalo, Iowa; one brother: Richard Halliburton of Washington, Iowa; two sisters: Atha Welch of Springfield, Missouri and Ineta Barker of El Dorado, Kansas; ten grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends who will miss her very much. The family would like to thank Amy Collins for her love and support during this difficult time.


Funeral Services:
Friday, August 21st at 10:00 AM in the Craig-Hurtt Chapel.
Visitation:
Thursday, August 20th - 7:00 PM - 8:00 PM in the funeral home.

Denlow Cemetery
Donations/Contributions:
Volunteer Fire and Ambulance Service in Buffalo, Iowa c/o the funeral home.
