Wilma Van Genderen, daughter of the late Neal and Gora (Depenning) VanderLeest, was born on January 23, 1915 in Sully, Iowa and departed this life on May 17, 2009 in the Autumn Oaks Caring Center in Mtn. Grove, Missouri, following a short illness, at 94 years of age.

Grove where they made their church home at the First Freewill Baptist Church.
Wilma enjoyed sewing for her family, crocheting and gardening. She loved spending time with her family and visiting with her many friends.

Grove and Dale and Gayle Van Genderen of Spokane, Missouri; two brothers: Vernon VanderLeest and Robert VanderLeest; three sisters: Evelyn Roll, Dorothy Lane and Helen Schmidt, all of the State of Iowa; six grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; nieces; nephews; church family; and a host of other relatives and friends who will miss her very much. “Count thy way unto the Lord; trust also in Him; He shall bring it to pass.” Psalm 37:5
