Anita Scott

Anita Sue Scott, daughter of the late Scott and Hazel (Ball) Bloomer, was born February 22, 1943, in Denver, Colorado. She departed this life on November 3, 2025, in Mountain Grove, Missouri, at the age of 82.

Anita grew up in the Mountain Grove and Willow Springs communities and graduated with the Willow Springs High School class of 1961. She then began a 30 year career working for the Brown Shoe Company in Mountain Grove. Anita was united in marriage to Billy Joe Scott on April 4, 1963, in Mountain Grove. Two sons were born to this union: Tim and Dane.

Anita was saved and baptized in the 70’s and remained faithful to the Lord. She enjoyed crocheting and had made many afghans over the years. Her family considered her to be the “best cook in the world.” She also enjoyed feeding and watching hummingbirds. She and Bill spent over 18 years square dancing together. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Anita is survived by her husband of 62 years, Bill Scott of Mountain Grove; two sons, Tim Scott and wife, Milly, of Mountain Home, Idaho, and Dane Scott and wife, Lesia, of Mountain Grove; four grandchildren, Susan Munson and husband, Thomas, Candice Scott, Benjamin Scott, and Laci Francis; five great-grandchildren, Athena, Aria, Nicholas, Cody, and Rosalynn; one brother, Robert Bloomer and wife, Sharon, of Kansas City, Missouri; and a host of other relatives and friends.
