Betty "Sue" Sullens

Betty “Sue” Sullens was born January 12, 1936, in Nashville, Tennessee, and departed this life June 6, 2023, in Springfield, Missouri. She was 87 years, 4 months, and 25 days of age.

Sue grew up in Tennessee and was united in marriage to Sam Hatcher in 1958. Three children were born to this union, Clay, Lee Ann, and Kyle. Sue and the family moved to Missouri in 1970 and she began working as a Sales Associate for Walmart in Mountain Grove. She was a faithful and dedicated employee for 32 years. Sue was later married to Don Sullens and they spent many happy years together before his passing.

Sue faithfully attended the Church of Christ in Mountain Grove. She was known for her quick wit and spirited personality. Her greatest joy in life was spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Sue was preceded in death by husband, Don Sullens, one brother, Wade Kerr, and long-time companion, Kenneth Copeland.

Survivors include her sons, Clay Hatcher of Kansas City, Kansas, and Kyle Hatcher of St. Charles, Missouri, her daughter, Lee Ann Dobson, of Mountain Grove, Missouri, eight grandchildren, Matthew Hatcher, Erica Hoemann, Chrissy Hatcher, Benjamin Dobson, Jonathan Dobson, Christopher Dobson, Nathan Hatcher, and Ashleigh Hatcher, eight great-grandchildren and one on the way, and many other relatives, friends, and church family who will miss her dearly.
