Beverly Barlow

Beverly Jean (Francka) Barlow was born in Brighton, Missouri on June 25, 1933, to John and Irene (Cribbs) Francka, and departed this life at her home on October 21, 2025, at the age of 92 years, 3 months and 26 days.

She was saved at an early age in the Baptist church and later in life attended Realove church in Seymour. She graduated from Pleasant Hope High School in 1951. She was united in marriage to Wayne Eugene Barlow on June 19, 1959, and to this union a son, Michael Wayne, was born.

Bev and Wayne made Seymour their home in 1960. She prided herself on serving her community alongside her husband, working as a pharmacy tech at the Seymour Pharmacy for 37 years as well as being an active member of the Merchants association for many years, earning herself the title of “Corn Dog Queen” from Governor Parson. It wasn’t an Apple Festival if Bev wasn’t in the corn dog stand or supervising from the tent. She would always have multiple visitors throughout the weekend to say hello, which was a testament to how well loved she was by the community.

She was preceded in death by her husband Wayne, son Michael, two brothers, Dale and Jerry, and her parents.

She leaves behind her three grandchildren, Whitney (Jordan) Buchanan, Johnathon (Kayla) Barlow, and Madison (Zach) Galbraith, six great-grandchildren, Dawson, Finley, Elijah, Ariah, Judah, and Isaiah, two special nieces - Terri Schaffitzel and Christa Lairmore, special friends - Robin Hopper, April Owens, Teresa Yarger, Grady and Brittany Bennett and kids, and Judy Christensen, sister, Kay Hensley, sisters-in-law, Linda Francka and MaryBelle Edwards, as well as a multitude of extended family and friends.

Beverly’s life reflected hard work, resilience, grit, love for her community, and most of all, love for her family. Those of us who were lucky enough to have our lives touched by Beverly Barlow know just how blessed we truly are. May we all strive to be a little more like Bev every day.
