Byron Frisbee

January 13, 1953 — May 13, 2024

Mountain Grove

Byron Dean Frisbee was born to Tommie and Bonnie (Lemons) Frisbee on January 13, 1953, in Bearden, Arkansas, and departed this life Monday, May 13, 2024, at his home, after a battle with cancer. He was 71 years and 4 months of age.

Byron grew up and lived most of his younger days in Norwood, Missouri, and had a special place in his heart for the Norwood Class of ‘71. On January 5, 1972, he was united in marriage to the love of his life Carol Cantrell. They shared 52 wonderful years together.

Byron was always serving others. He served his country in the Army from 1971-1973 with an Honorable Discharge.

He was such a hard worker and provided for his family with long hours on the road driving a truck and running a successful recycling business.

He also served his community driving the school bus for the public and state schools. Byron’s biggest reward was driving the bus for the state school and he formed special connections with all the kids. He never met a stranger and always loved to poke fun at people. If he poked fun at you, you knew that he liked you. One of his favorite things to do was spend time with his family and loved watching his grandchildren play sports.

Byron had rededicated his life to his Lord and Savior and loved his Calvary Temple family.

Byron was preceded in death by his parents, Bonnie Lou Harris, bonus dad, Ronald Wilson Harris, and Tommie M. Frisbee, brother, Phil Harris, and sister, Kathy Matthews, son-in-law, Buck Baney, father-in-law, Claude Cantrell, brothers-in-law, Bill Morris, Arliss Stigall, and Ronnie Owen, and sister-in-law, Lorna Cantrell.

He will be deeply missed by his wife, Carol Frisbee, his three daughters, Shannon Peterson (Jeremiah), Kristen Sheppard (Toby), and Dena Frisbee-Baney, eleven grandchildren, Kelsy Hartley (Mason), Kelby Goetz, Samantha Peterson, Sophee Peterson, Zachary Sheppard, Logan Sheppard, Kadee Ball (Sam), Kylee Sheppard (future grandson-in-law, Anthony), Addy Frisbee,     Kenzee Frisbee, J.T. Thornton (future granddaughter-in-law, Harlee), two great-grandchildren, Baylor and Briley Hartley, future great-granddaughter, Blakelyn Ball,  two sisters, Karla Morris and Janet Owen, uncle, James Harris, mother-in-law, Dorothy Cantrell, three sisters-in-law, Peggy Ragsdale (Larry), Judy Stigall, and Marla Pope (John), two brothers-in-law, Jerry Cantrell and Ben Cantrell (Kathy), and other numerous family and friends.
