Carl Gene Cornelison Jr. son of the late Carl Cornelison Sr. and Mary Bell (Hargis) Cornelison, was born January 31, 1953, in Fordland, Missouri, and departed this life August 16, 2026, in Springfield, Missouri, at 73 years of age.

Carl grew up and attended school in Fordland and graduated from Fordland High School with the class of 1971. As a young man, he enjoyed riding motorcycles as well as tinkering with them. Carl worked at Hutchen’s Industries in Seymour, Missouri, for the majority of his working career. Some of Carl’s hobbies also included camping and fishing. He also loved working on old tractors, rebuilding, painting, restoring, and selling them. He also enjoyed pulling in tractor pulls.

Carl was preceded in death by his parents, Carl Sr. and Mary Bell Cornelison.

He is survived by three sons, Mike Cornelison and wife, Leslie, of Seymour, Missouri, Scott Cornelison and wife, Haley, of Osage Beach, Missouri, and Zackery Cornelison and wife, Cassidy, of Seymour, Missouri, one daughter, Shelly Lee and husband, Davey, of Seymour, Missouri, three brothers, Keith Cornelison and wife, Joanna, of Urbana, Missouri, Tom Cornelison and wife Debby, of Mount Vernon, Missouri, and Tim Cornelison and wife, Kim, of Fordland, Missouri, one sister, Judy Potter and husband, Steve, of Mountain Grove, Missouri, ten grandchildren, Taylor Piles and husband, Jason, Chase Cornelison and wife, Emma, Austin Emerick and wife, Hailey, Allison Dias and husband, Jason, Austin Mullanack, Amber Hilderbrand, Whitney Cornelison and husband, Morgan, Dawson Cornelison, Lincoln Cornelison, and Avery Cornelison, five great-grandchildren, Jaxton, Madilyn, Phoenix, Josei, and Lukas, and many nephews, nieces, and extended family and friends who will miss him.
