Dale Dugger

November 19, 1954 — September 6, 2023

Dale Dugger, son of Harry Lee and Lois Evelyn Dugger (Gann), was born November 19, 1954, in

Idaho Falls, Idaho, and departed this life on September 6, 2023, in Springfield, Missouri. He was

68 years, 9 months, and 18 days of age.

Dale graduated with the Exeter Union High School class of 1972 in Exeter, California. Dale had

great interest in sports cars, hunting, boating, camping, waterskiing, fishing, and deep-

sea fishing. He was employed with the Fresno Unified School District of Fresno, California, for

16 years as a Bus Transportation Technician. He had a passion for his chosen career in the tire

business. He had worked alongside his parents as business owners of a Fina Fillin Station as

their main tire man. Dale became a business owner of a 24-hour tire roadside service for tractor

trailers, passenger, and on the farm service for many years until health issues prevented him

from continuing.

He was united in marriage to Janet Friend on October 22, 1973. They were blessed with 49

years, 10 months, and 15 days. They enjoyed dancing, camping, fishing, hunting,

and vacationing together.

Dale had many hobbies in life including hunting and fishing with his daughters and

grandchildren. He was also an avid lover of boats. He was most proud of one particular boat in

his possession. He titled and named it after his daughters “Sha-Da-Na”. He always had a project

going and or an “idea”. Dale was a man of many words and would give you the shirt off his

back. Dale never met a stranger. He was strong-willed, but a gentle soul and if he liked you, you

knew it by his interaction of teasing or joking. If he loved you, he loved you with his whole

heart.

Dale was so very patient and proud of being a “girl dad” and loved talking about them and the

hobbies he participated in with each one. He also was a proud father of identical twins.

Dale loved his wife Janet with his whole heart and the feeling was mutual. They had big dreams

and future plans ahead together awaiting Janet’s retirement they both worked so very hard

for each and every day.

Dale was preceded in death by his father, Harry Lee Dugger, his mother, Lois Evelyn Dugger, his

brother, Gary Lee Dugger, and his sister, Brenda Sue Howard.

Dale is survived by his loving wife of 49 years, Janet Dugger of the home, five daughters, Linda

Ortiz of Mountain Grove, Missouri, Sheila Butterfield of Norwood, Missouri, Rhonda Tollison of

Springfield, Missouri, Rana Supancic and husband, Greg, of Mountain Grove, Missouri, Shannan

Rand and husband, Jason, of Branson, Missouri, acquired daughter, Lafoya Michaelson and

husband, Brandon, of Tonkawa, Oklahoma, two sisters, Virginia Dugger of Cabool, Missouri,

Carol Johnston and husband, Jerry, of Mountain Grove, Missouri, thirteen grandchildren, Xavier

Ortiz, Destiny Ray, Micheal Ortiz, Connor Smith, Jacob Butterfield, Nicole Davis, Blake

Butterfield, Corey Tollison, Cody Dale Tollison, Amanda Coombs, Jake Rand, Shalyn Kellum,

Jaystin Dale Rand, thirteen great-grandchildren, and a host of other relatives and friends who

will miss him greatly.

If Dale was still here today you would hear him say, “Geeezz” and, “You got to be smarter than

what you’re working on”, “I am total awesomeness”, “Loved you first.”

“Thank you for everything you’ve taught us, but most of all, the unconditional love you gave us.

We’ll be lost without you.”
