Daniel Dae Coursey

Daniel Dae Coursey, son of James William Sartin and Colleen Ruth Coursey Sartin was born July 1, 1985, in Bolivar, Missouri, and departed this life on November 10, 2023, at Mercy Hospital in Springfield, Missouri, at the age of 38 years, 4 months, and 9 days.


He was preceded in death by maternal grandparents, Dillard Coursey and Alfreda Coursey, paternal great-grandparents, Richard Sartin Jr. and Gloria Sartin, and paternal great-grandmother, Pearl Labbee.


Daniel is survived by 3 sons, Nicholas Britton, Kayden Coursey and Bryce Coursey; daughter, Patience Coursey; mother, Colleen Sartin, father, James Sartin; brother, Justin Sartin; sisters, Amanda Sartin and Klysta Sartin; several aunts, uncles, other relatives and many friends.


He was born in Bolivar, but lived most of his life in Seymour, Missouri. He graduated from Seymour High School in the Class of 2004, where he excelled at basketball and baseball and was self-employed in construction.


Daniel was a loving father, son, brother, uncle, nephew, and friend. He is from a tight family and always had a bright spirit, lifting everyone else up when they needed encouragement. He left us far too soon and we will miss him dearly.


Memorial services will be at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, November 18, 2023, at the Diggins Baptist Church.


The family would appreciate contributions made to the funeral home to help with final expenses.
