Danny Alsup

Mountain Grove

Daniel Joe Alsup, son of Tom Alsup and Roberta (Turner) Dixon, was born November 11, 1961, in Cabool, Missouri. He went to his home in Heaven on January 5, 2026, in Mountain Grove, Missouri, at the age of 64.

Danny grew up in the Denlow community in Douglas County, and attended Kindergarten through 8th Grade at Skyline. He graduated high school with the Mountain Grove class of 1979. Danny delivered Hiland dairy products for 27 years. He also owned and operated four car washes: two in Mountain Grove beginning in 1987 and 1998, one in Cabool beginning in 1990, and one in Ava beginning in 1994.

Danny loved the Lord and served Him in many facets throughout his life. He particularly enjoyed doing mission work in Mexico, Honduras, and Nicaragua. He had a heart for supporting programs like Eight Days of Hope, Commissioned International, and Missouri Baptist Disaster Relief. He also had a great love for music and worship. He was currently serving as Pastor at Bado Community Church, near Cabool.

Danny enjoyed M&M’s and Mexican Villa’s sancho enchiladas. Last summer, he found that he enjoyed a good cup of coffee. Danny had a warm personality. He loved children. He could strike up a conversation with anyone and leave them with a smile. His greatest love in life was spending time with his family. He will live on in the hearts and lives that he has touched.

Danny was preceded in death by his mother, Roberta Dixon; two brothers, Shelt Alsup and Dale Alsup; step-father, Larry Dixon; and father-in-law and mother-in-law, Darrell and Sue Delcour.

Danny is survived by his wife of over 31 years, Jan (Delcour) Alsup; two sons, Austin Alsup and wife, Gabby, of Nixa, Missouri, and Canon Alsup of Mountain Grove; five daughters, Tabetha Alsup of Mountain Grove, Larrissa Chisum and husband, Zac, of Evans, Georgia, Laney Tiller and husband, Brady, of Lee’s Summit, Missouri, Emmy Davis and husband, Braxton, of Springfield, Missouri, and Charis Alsup also of Springfield; ten grandchildren, Hunter, Orion, Aspen, Eva, Jackson, Dylan, Grace, Eli, Raiya, and baby Brooks; his father and step-mother, Tom and Vivian Alsup of Cabool, Missouri; one brother, Steve Alsup and wife, Debbie, of Jonesboro, Arkansas; and many other relatives, church family, and dear friends who will miss him greatly.
