David Brian Goss, son of the late Bobby Ray and Opal Lena (Fry) Goss, was born June 19, 1961, in Atwater, California, at the Castle Air Force Base. He passed away May 27, 2025, in Mountain Grove, Missouri, at the age of 63 years, 11 months, and 8 days.
As a kid, David regularly attended Legion meetings with his family and enjoyed going to the McClurg music parties. He had a collection of hats and a knack for persuading others to part with theirs.
David was a friendly and joyful person, often considered the life of the party. His wonderful ability to connect with others was evident to all who met him. He left a lasting impression on everyone he encountered, and it is accurate to say that all who knew him loved him.
David dedicated part of his life to working at the Sheltered Workshop. He embraced every assigned task and took full responsibility for his duties. After many years of working for both the DOCA Sheltered Workshop in Ava and Unique Services in Mtn Grove, he retired a few years ago and was adjusting to his retirement. David wanted everyone to get up and go to work.
David had many interests that brought him joy. He was a true fan of classic television, especially Bonanza, Gunsmoke, Star Trek, Baywatch, and MASH. He also enjoyed watching Pro Wrestling and had a signed autograph of his beloved "Hulkster," Hulk Hogan, proudly displayed. John Cena was another favorite wrestler. Music was another passion, and he particularly enjoyed listening to Alan Jackson, and Elvis Presley whom he could do a perfect impression of. He was a big Kansas City Chiefs fan.
David was preceded in death by his parents, Bobby and Opal Goss, one brother, Gary Goss.
He is survived by three brothers, Greg Goss and Wife Kay of Mansfield, Missouri, Wesley Goss of Mansfield, Missouri, and Dennis Goss of St. Louis, Missouri, six nieces, and two nephews.
David was a great brother, uncle and friend. He will be greatly missed by his family and all those who knew and loved him. His memory will live on forever in our hearts.
