Delvin Ray Lansdown, son of the late Virgil and Amie "Dood" (Moore) Lansdown, was born December 18, 1949, in Hartville, Missouri, and passed away July 7, 2025, in Springfield, Missouri, at 75 years of age.

Delvin grew up and attended school in Hartville and graduated from Hartville High School. He was saved at an early age, and he rededicated his life to the Lord in recent years. Delvin was united in marriage to Diane Criswell and three sons were born to this union: Richard, Kenny, and Steven. Delvin began his career as a pole climber for the electric company, a testament to his tenacity and skill. Following this, he took on the role of a truck driver, showcasing his versatility in the workforce. Later, he was able to open his own business, Lansdown Logging, and enjoyed working as a logger. At the end of his career, Delvin transitioned to working as a farm hand at Campbell Farms, where he contributed his labor with the same commitment and drive that characterized his entire career.

Outside of his professional endeavors, Delvin loved getting together with family and friends. Delvin's biggest hobby was truck pulls. He enjoyed every aspect including building trucks, making repairs, and driving in the truck pulls. Additionally, Delvin found joy in fishing, coon hunting, and trap shooting, maintaining a close bond with the outdoor lifestyle. His love for animals was evident through his many years of raising dogs, as well as his enjoyment of horses and participation in horse shows.

Delvin was preceded in death by his parents, Virgil and Amie “Dood” Lansdown, two brothers, Harold and Clifford Lansdown, one sister, Wanda Lathrom, and one daughter-in-law, Tanya Lansdown.

He is survived by three sons, Richard Lansdown of Bennett Springs, Missouri, Kenny Lansdown of Hartville, Missouri, and Steven Lansdown and wife, Tiffany, of Louisburg, Missouri, one brother, Howard Lansdown and wife, Betty, of Hartville, Missouri, eight grandchildren, Anthony Lansdown, Amie Green, Kyra Dunn, Devin Lansdown, Desirae Lansdown, Rylee Lansdown, Bailey Lansdown, and Madison Lansdown, six great-grandchildren, Kinlee Dunn, Hunter Dunn, Damien Lansdown, Wayden Cater, Adalynn Cater, and Kaden Cater, as well as many nephews, nieces, and friends who will miss him.

Memorial contributions may be made to Moore Cemetery in care of the funeral home.
