Dillard Lane Robertson, born September 19, 1944, to Omar and Ruth Robertson, passed away at his home on September 6, 2026, in Wright County, MO.
The seventh of ten children, four of whom have preceded him in death, Dillard is survived by his son, Donald of Blue Springs, MO, grandsons, Tyler of Overland Park, KS, Michael of Independence, MO, Zach of Lee's Summit, MO, and granddaughter, Megan of Overland Park, KS. He was married to his high-school sweetheart, Brenda Joyce (Davis), for over 60 years prior to her passing in 2023. Another son, Douglas, died in 2019. Other survivors include a wide array of nephews, nieces, and cousins.
Throughout a life of varying vocational pursuits, concluding as Director of Operations for the Grain Valley (MO) School District, Dillard consistently exhibited a work ethic matched by none and respected by all. His final years were spent living on his own terms at his farm outside of Hartville, MO, welcoming family and friends to join him in the realization of a lifetime of industrious accomplishment.
With respect to a lifelong commitment to hard work and an empathy for the labor of others, he asked that any and all financial contributions be made to the Durbin Cemetery Association, 8145 Highway TT, Hartville, MO, 65667.
Per his request, a private graveside service will be held by immediate family.
