Donald Truster

Donald Eugene Truster, son of Bonnie Edith (Deckard) Truster and the late Donald Edward Truster, was born October 9, 1958, in Marshfield, Missouri, and passed away April 24, 2025, in Hartville, Missouri. He was 66 years, 6 months, and 15 days of age.

Donald grew up in Hartville and graduated from Hartville High School with the class of 1976. He spent most of his working years with HD Lee, but he also worked with the team at Shull Lawncare for several years. In his spare time, he enjoyed gardening and proved to have a true green thumb. He also enjoyed fishing and hunting, and watching sports. He was an avid St. Louis Cardinals’ fan and also liked to watch basketball. In his younger years, Donald spent time playing softball.

He loved his family dearly and cherished time spent together. His nieces and nephews thought he was a lot of fun and he loved listening to their stories about their lives and activities.

Donald professed his faith in Christ at a young age and was saved at Hartville Assembly of God Church. In later years, he attended Little Creek Baptist Church as long as his health permitted.

Donald was preceded in death by his father, Donald Edward Truster, and a niece, Christi Michelle Wynn.

He is survived by his mother, Bonnie Truster, one brother, Jamie Truster, two sisters, Beverly Wynn (Bill) and Rhonda Smith (Bill), nephews, Ryan Wynn (Katie), Robbie Wynn, Dalton Smith (Stephanie), nieces, Misti Lowery (Chad), Natalie Gulley (Mark), Natasha Cryer (Jason), great-nephews, Hunter, Heston, Jalon, Drew, Eli, William, and Michael, great-nieces, Addison, Aubrey, Kinley, Myla, Hallie, Azleigh, and Finleigh, and many other friends and relatives who will miss his friendly personality.
