Edward Stout

Edward Lee Stout, son of the late Virgil and Josephine (Driskell) Stout, was born on December 12, 1949, in Bucyrus, Missouri. He passed away on September 3, 2026, at his residence in Cabool, Missouri, at the age of 76.

Edward grew up in Dunn, Missouri. He attended and graduated from Mountain Grove High School. Edward was a jack-of-all-trades and did a little bit of everything. He was a mechanic by trade and loved working and tinkering on all types of vehicles. If it had an engine, you would most likely find him under the hood.

Edward loved fishing and spending time outdoors. He also loved spending time with his grandchildren and his beagle, Tucker.

Besides his parents, Edward was preceded in death by seven brothers, Russell Driskell, Bill Stout, Lewis Stout, Burley Stout, Kenneth Stout, Larry Stout, and Daniel Stout; two sisters, Ethel Stout and Opal Stout.

He is survived by his daughter, Misti Collins and her husband, Codey, of Willow Springs, Missouri; Misti’s mother, Jeana Kight of Cabool, Missouri; one sister, Karen Mast and her husband, James, of Mountain Grove; two grandchildren, Brooklynn Collins and Channing Collins of Willow Springs, Missouri; and other relatives and friends who will miss him very much.

Cremation services were under the direction of Craig-Hurtt Funeral Home and Cremation Care Center.
