Seymour

Fredrick Carl Zimmerman, son of the late George and Merle Irene (Darling) Zimmerman, was born April 6, 1970, in Mansfield, Missouri, and passed away March 12, 2024, at Cox South Medical Center in Springfield, Missouri. He was 53 years, 11 months, and 6 days of age.

Fred grew up in Seymour, Missouri, where he attended school. He was a handyman and a “Jack of all trades”. He worked in construction and could build just about anything.

Fred enjoyed going wild game and mushroom hunting, but most of all he loved to fish! He loved his children and grandchildren and always enjoyed it when they would come by for a visit.

Fred recently gave his heart to the Lord during his stay in the hospital and was baptized in the therapy pool at the Cox Health Meyer Center.

Besides his parents, Fred was preceded in death by two brothers, Robert Zimmerman, and Glenn Zimmerman, one sister, Corrine Darling, and three grandchildren, Mark Hinkle, Nathaniel Allen, and Lawrence Emerick.

He is survived by four children, Tiffany Zimmerman, Kayla Hurst and her husband, Jobe, Jack Zimmerman and his significant other, Taylor Ward, and Alaina Zimmerman, ten grandchildren, Jacklynn, Davion, Samuel, Astara, Chayton, Abel, Elizabeth, Klayton, Wyatt, and Raelyna, six brothers, Kenneth Zimmerman, Jack Zimmerman and his wife, Annette, David Zimmerman and his wife, Betty, Terry Zimmerman and his wife, Rena, Frank Zimmerman and his wife, Debbie, and Tom Zimmerman and his significant other, Robin Clark, three sisters, Bonnie Townlian and her husband, Gary, Dorothy Wolfe and her husband, Leroy, and Rita Graven and her husband, Bob, many nieces, nephews,  other relatives and friends who will miss him very much.
