Glenn Utah Branstetter, son of the late Ray Branstetter and Eula (Mallory) Branstetter, born September, 21, 1937, in Mansfield, Missouri, departed this life on October 27, 2026, at Willard Care Center in Willard, Missouri, at the age of 89 years, 1 month, and 6 days.
Born at home on the family farm, Glenn grew up in the Mansfield area and graduated Mansfield High School Class of 1956. He was saved and baptized at the age of 12. He spent his life working the land as a dedicated farmer, raising chickens, pigs, and cattle.
On March 26, 1959, Glenn was united in marriage to Janet Fay Lemons and to this union two children were born. Following their marriage, the couple lived on the Branstetter farm until 1962, when the family moved to Rolla. They later moved to Ava in 1965, where they made their home. Throughout his working years outside of farming, Glenn was employed by Kitty Clover from 1962 to 1981, Hiland from 1981 to 1984, and Party Stake in 1984, before returning full-time to farming.
Deeply committed to his community, Glenn served as President of the New Hope Cemetery for 35 years (with 20 years also serving as Treasurer and Secretary) and was a dedicated board member and Vice President of the Pleasant Hill Cemetery for many years.
Glenn was preceded in death by his beloved wife of nearly sixty years, Janet Branstetter; his parents, Ray and Eula Branstetter; and his daughter-in-law Carla Branstetter.
He is survived by his son, Rick Branstetter and wife, Lesa, of Bolivar, Missouri; his daughter, Janice Long and husband, Terry, of Willard, Missouri; four grandchildren, Dustin Long and wife, Ashley, Heather Baker and husband, Tony, both of Willard, Missouri, Matthew Branstetter and wife, Aleia, of Springfield, Missouri, and Katelyn Branstetter of Bolivar, Missouri; and great-granddaughters, Isabel Baker and Adelia Long; one sister, Leona Wynn and husband, Kent, along with nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
Glenn will be remembered for his steadfast character, his lifelong dedication to farming, and his enduring love for his family and community.
