Mansfield

Helen Marie Dixon, daughter of Earl Otis Letsinger and Maude Josephine (Draper) Letsinger, was born March 9, 1940, in Mansfield, Missouri and departed this life May 24, 2024, in her home in Mansfield at the age of 84 years, 2 months, and 15 days.

On November 7, 1958, she was united in marriage to Bobby Dale Dixon, and to this union a son was born.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Bobby Dale on November 15, 2018, sisters, Ireta Krider and Alice Findley and her husband, K.C., brother, Charley Bill Krider, sister-in-law, Sharon McNealy and her husband, Dennis.

Helen is survived by her son, Earl Gene Dixon and wife, Rhonda, of Macomb, Missouri; 2 grandchildren, Dustin Dixon and wife, Tracy, of Macomb, Missouri and Natasha Reed and husband, Travis, of Licking, Missouri; 5 great-grandchildren, Rylee, Brayden, and Kinsley Dixon, Lilly and Waylon Reed; nieces and nephews, Kevin Findley and wife, Lois, Sheila Pool and husband, Mick, Sam Wampler, Becky Borders and husband, Ed, Doug Still and wife, Sharon, Todd Still and wife, Carolyn, Stacy Porter and husband, Ryan, Heather Dennis and husband, Brett, and other special nieces and nephews; sister-in-law, Betty Still and husband, Willard; and the Olive family whom Helen considered her own.

Helen was born and raised in Mansfield and was a graduate of Mansfield High School in the Class of 1958.  After she and Bobby Dale were married, they moved to Independence, Missouri, where Earl was born.  They moved back to Mansfield, and she went to work at the lumberyard and then went to beautification school and had her own shop called the “Petite Beauty Shop”. In the fall of 1985, she started working for Se-Ma-No Electric Company, working there for 29 years, retiring in 2014.

Helen was saved at a young age and was a longtime member of the Mansfield First Baptist Church where she enjoyed working in the kitchen.

In her spare time, she was quite the “organizer”, enjoyed playing the piano, reading the Bible, going to Weaver Inn with the women’s group, but her greatest joy was being with her family, especially the grandkids and great grandkids.

Helen was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and person who truly cared about other people.  We celebrate her life and will always cherish the many wonderful memories we had with her.
