Jack Rader

Jack Gordon Rader, son of the late Gordon and Dorothy (Strunk) Rader, was born November 5, 1934 in Wright County, Missouri, and departed this life on May 29, 2023 in Springfield, Missouri. He was 88 years of age.

Jack grew up on Fox Creek south of Mountain Grove, and attended the Fairmount School. He worked with his brother-in-law, Mac, at Boeing in Wichita, Kansas. He then did logging and later started trucking produce all over the country. He also operated a dairy and beef farm.

Jack married Loneeda “Chris” Christine Rader on November 28, 1952 at Mountain Grove. Two children were born to this union.

Jack enjoyed being outdoors, especially when hunting and fishing. He was an avid St. Louis Cardinals fan. Jack also raised and rode quarter horses through the years. His greatest joy was being with his family.

Jack was preceded in death by his parents, Gordon and Dorothy Rader; his wife, Loneeda “Chris” Rader; three brothers, Erval D. Rader, Eddie Rader, and George Rader; and by one sister, Marcella Kiser.

He is survived by his son, Michael Rader, and his wife, Kristina, of Mountain Grove; by his daughter, Mitzi DeSpain and her husband, Bobby, of Perryville, Missouri; sister, Louise West and husband, Mac, of Boulder, Colorado; uncle, Ralph Strunk and his family of Mountain Grove; grandchildren, Jennifer Siter, and her husband, Frank, of West Plains, Missouri, Amanda Estes, and her husband, Andy, of Cape Girardeau, Missouri, Jack Rader, and his wife, Helen, of Mountain Grove, Alex Williams, of Cabool, Missouri, Jay Williams, of Rogersville, Missouri; great-grandchildren, Rocky Siter, Parker, Theodore, Penelope, and Eleanor Estes; great-great-grandson, Elias Allen Siter; many other relatives and friends who will miss him very much.
