Jackie Ray Leighty, passed away March 23, 2020, in the Kabul Nursing Home in Cabool, Missouri, where he had been a resident the last few years. He was 77 years, 3 months, and 15 days of age.
Jackie was born December 8, 1942, to James and Ruth (Skaggs) Leighty in Huggins, Missouri, and grew up on the family farm in Huggins, along with his two brothers, Jessie Earl and Ervin Lee.
He worked at the chicken plant in Cabool, Missouri, for a few years and then later as a custodian at Fort Leonard Wood.
Jackie was preceded in death by his parents, James and Ruth Leighty, and his brother, Jessie Earl Leighty.
He is survived by one brother, Ervin Lee Leighty, and many cousins and friends who will miss him very much.
