Jake Ulas Volner, son of Ulas and the late Geraldine (Carder) Volner, was born November 17, 1973, in Mountain Grove, Missouri, and departed this life August 27, 2025, at his home in Puxico, Missouri, at 51 years of age.

Jake grew up in Mountain Grove. Throughout his life he enjoyed working on vehicles, riding four wheelers and horses, going hunting and fishing, and he had several favorite western movies he enjoyed watching. He also loved to cook. He would always tell everyone that he was the best cook, and he would try to throw down a cook off. Jake enjoyed spending time with his children in various activities, but most of all, he truly loved to play with his grandkids whom he cherished.

Jake was preceded in death by his mother, Geraldine Volner, his brother, Larry Volner, his grandparents, Lester and Edna Carder and Orville and Martha Volner, his father-in-law, Robert Phelps, and several aunts, uncles, and other family members he loved dearly.

He is survived by his wife, Amber Volner, his four daughters from a previous marriage, Cynthia (Jacob) Turner, Cassandra (Josh) Price, Candice (Mike) Yoder, Vicky (Elizabeth) Volner, and eleven grandchildren: Jakoby, Landrie, and Johannah Turner, Camillia, Bentley, and Graysen Kirkendall, and Kashton Price, Augustus, Nevaeh, Kadryona, and Hazel Yoder, all of whom he shared with his former wife Christina Scott, all residing in Puxico, Missouri, his dad and companion, Ulas Volner and Charlotte Thibault of Mountain Grove, Missouri, two sisters and three brothers, Mary (Eric) Hardin of Norwood, Missouri, Terry (Tammy) Volner of Mountain Grove, Missouri, Gail (Randy) Miller of Mountain Grove, Missouri, Tommy Volner of Norwood, Missouri, Heywood (Donna) Gidcumb of Illinois, sister-in-law, Pam Volner of Norwood, Missouri, his mother-in-law, Lisa Phelps of St. Louis, Missouri, and several other aunts, uncles, and other family members that he dearly loved.

Jake was a loving husband, father, Papa, son, brother, and uncle, who will be dearly and deeply missed by family, friends, and anyone that knew him.
