Jim Thompson, son of the late James and Judy (Doty) Thompson, born November 4, 1966, in Springfield, Missouri, entered into eternal rest on August 27, 2025, at the age of 58 years, 9 months, and 23 days.

Jim was born in Springfield, Missouri, and grew up in Marshfield, Missouri. He graduated from Marshfield High School in 1985. Jim did concrete work for many years and he worked for R&K Underground, LLC for the last 18 years. He married Kimberly Ann Hoggatt on May 15, 2010.

He enjoyed hunting, fishing, riding side by sides, and spending time with his family. He was a practical joker. His favorite pastime was scaring his wife. He will be fondly remembered for surprising his family with his beloved air horn.

Jim was preceded in death by his parents, James and Judy Thompson, one sister, Julie Thompson, and his granddaughter, River.

He is survived by his loving wife, Kimberly Thompson. His children: Amber Moore (Lucas), James Thompson, Brandon Thompson, Corey Thompson (Lydia), and Shelby Cole. His grandchildren: Mylea, Keara, and Havyn Moore, Cooper, and Sawyer Thompson, Maebel, and Allee Thompson, Ryia, Gavyn Helms and Haydon Gage. His sisters: Jackie Judd (Wayne), Janice Harris (Steve). His sister-in-law, Paulette Thomas, and his brother-in-law Tommy Hoggatt (Shelia). His nephews and nieces: Dalton and Hailea Harris, Jordan Judd, Hollie Harbison (Robbie), Leigh Ann, and Andrew Hoggatt, Allison West (Shane),  as well as several great, and great-great nieces and nephews.

Jim was a loving husband, father, grandfather, uncle, and friend. He leaves behind many friends and family, and he will be greatly missed by all those who knew and loved him.
