Johnny Merlin Todd, age 90, of Seymour Missouri, passed away peacefully on October 11, 2025, in the Heart of the Ozarks, Ava Missouri. John was born on December 3, 1934, in Lake City, Kansas, the son of Sam and Exie (Allphin) Todd.
On March 21, 1957, John was united in marriage, for 68 years, to Lula Belle Roy, and to this union two sons were born, Terry Lynn and Shelby Lee. John proudly served his country as a member of the United States Army, and served his tour in Junction City, Kansas, accompanied by Lula. Upon completion of the Army tour, he and Lula Belle enjoyed life together in the Seymour-Mansfield area.
John enjoyed employment for many years with the Seymour School District as a bus driver and bus mechanic. In his spare time, he enjoyed square dancing, hosting New Year’s Eve parties, horse and car racing, working on the farm, fishing in Cedar Gap Lake, and camping in their RV with Lula Belle.
John was a faithful husband, father, grandpa, uncle, brother, and friend. He will be sadly missed but his memory will live on forever.
John is survived by his wife, Lula Belle; five granddaughters, Brandy, Sabrina, Nikki, Amanda and Valerie; great grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, cousins and many lifelong friends.
John was preceded in death by his parents, his two sons, Terry Lynn and Shelby Lee, and two sisters, Patricia Tripp and Doris Morton.
