Johnny “Dean” Crisp was born to George C. Crisp and Nora Alma (Zirschky) Crisp on July 27, 1950 in Manes, Missouri. He was gathered into the arms of the Father on July 5, 2025 at Barnes Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, Missouri.
He grew up in Manes, married, and had his children there. Many wonderful days were spent by him working as a Ford mechanic. Cars and trucks held a special allure for him. He “loved all things cars.” If there was a chance to watch car races or Monster trucks, he was all for it. Surrounded by family and friends in his native town, he lived a full and rewarding life. He was a generous man who was a good, loving father and husband.
Johnny was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Marsha (Landers) Crisp, his four brothers, Dale, Gene, Darrel, and Junior Crisp, his sister, Alice Strong, and his ex-wife Viola (Roberts) Crisp.
He is survived by two brothers, Eldon Crisp of Manes, Missouri and Paul Crisp of Manes, Missouri, five sisters, Judy Turner of Manes, Missouri, Susie McKee of Cabool, Missouri, Audra Jackson of Mountain Grove, Missouri, Maxine French of Mountain Grove, Missouri, Dottie James of Mountain Grove, Missouri, one son, Kirby Crisp and Jennifer, two daughters, Sheila Carty of Cabool, Missouri and Jeanna Crisp of Long Lane, Missouri, two grandchildren, Cody Kenaga and Bethany Galler, and three great grandchildren, Harper Kenaga, Sage Kenaga, and Nova Galler.
