Kenneth James Garson

October 21, 1972 — October 22, 2023

Kenneth James Garson, son of Richard Garson and Minnie Annette Humphrey Garson, was born October 21, 1972, in Denver, Colorado, and departed this life October 22, 2023, at his home in Mansfield, Missouri, at the age of 51 years and 1 day.

He was united in marriage to Tonya Kearns on August 17, 1997, and to this union a daughter was born.

He was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Raymond Garson and twin sister, Penny Garson.

Kenny is survived by 3 sons, Richard August Garson II of Holten, Kansas, Devin Garson of Lebanon, Missouri and Trevor Wayne Phillips McKinney of Springfield, Missouri; daughter, Bryanna Garson of Ava, Missouri; grandchildren, Langston, Zora, Raylan, and Lyric; former wife, Tonya Garson, of Ava, who remained a good friend to Kenny; and his beloved and faithful dog, Charlie.

He was born in Colorado and moved with his parents to Seymour, Missouri, in 1980. He was a graduate of Seymour High School in the Class of 1991. He was a certified nurse’s aide most of his working life and was a very active and dedicated firefighter for Southern Webster County Fire District until his health failed.

Kenny was a huge Denver Broncos fan and loved firefighting.

Kenny was a loving father, grandfather, and a caring neighbor and friend. Although we have lost him too soon, we know because of his serious health issues he is now free from his pain and struggles of daily life that he has dealt with for many years.
