Leane Meseck

March 9, 1955 — January 2, 2024

Leane Sue Meseck was born March 9, 1955, in Newport Beach, California, to Donald Meseck and Carole Vincent, and departed this life January 2, 2024, at Cox South Medical Center in Springfield, Missouri.  She was 68 years, 9 months, and 24 days of age.  At a young age, her family moved to Anchorage, Alaska, where she spent much of her early childhood.

Leane recalled fond stories of her grandmother, “Beppa”.  She was a stabilizing influence in Leane’s life and taught her many important life lessons.  At the happiest times of her life, she enjoyed working with kids and had opportunities to teach preschool and coach youth baseball.  She was also into fitness and bodybuilding at one time.  Thanksgiving was a significant time in Leane's life.  It was around Thanksgiving time when she accepted Jesus Christ as her Savior, and also around Thanksgiving that she became clean and sober ten years ago.

Leane moved to Hartville, Missouri, in February of 2023.  She attended Odin Community Church very faithfully, she was involved in Celebrate Recovery at Hartville Free Will Baptist Church, she attended women’s Bible study, and she was also a committed member of a prayer team.  She also attended Ashes to Beauty three times in the past year.  Leane publicly proclaimed her salvation by being baptized at both Ashes to Beauty and at her church.

Leane’s growth in Christ since February was very apparent to those around her.  It was her desire to bring Christ to those in darkness, especially those who were living in circumstances similar to what she had experienced.  Leane was very outgoing, and she enjoyed striking up conversations with complete strangers.  She was very interested in their lives, and she would lead the conversation to Jesus many times.  Leane also loved dancing and worshipping the Lord.  Even though her time in Hartville was short, she made a lasting impact on those in the community.

Leane is survived by her mother, Carole, three sisters, Ginger, Kimberly, and Deanna, nephews and nieces, and her adopted family and friends at Hartville, Missouri.
