Lee Vandon Easter

Lee Vandon Easter son of the late Lester and Ella (Owens) Easter, was born on February 26, 1937, in Dora, Missouri, and departed this life on September 21, 2015, at his home in Vanzant, Missouri, surrounded by his loved ones. He was 78 years of age.
Vandon was raised in the Dora community. He was united in marriage to Juanita Smith on July 9, 1956, in Milton-Freewater, Oregon. Two daughters were born to this union: Teresa and Tammy. Vandon and Juanita spent their early years in Washington and Oregon working the harvest. He was also a logger for many years.
Vandon became an ordained minister in 1966 and has been preaching the Gospel ever since. He started the Faith Chapel Church and remained there as long as his health permitted. Vandon studied his Bible a lot and enjoyed visiting with people on the subject. He loved spending time with his many family and friends. He will be greatly missed by all that knew and loved him.
Besides his parents Vandon was preceded in death by two brothers: Creed Easter and Reed Easter; and two sisters: Celestia Halford and Othel Puricelli.
Vandon is survived by his loving wife, Juanita, of the home; two daughters: Teresa Rodgers and her husband, Benny, of Vanzant, Missouri, and Tammy Rogers and her husband, James, of Mountain Grove, Missouri; two brothers: John Easter of Davenport, Iowa, and Basil Easter of Matherville, Illinois; two sisters: Mamie Lewis of Pasadena, Texas and Lucy Delores Stroup of Mountain Grove, Missouri; four grandchildren: Brandon Rodgers, Chaseton Rogers, Jaime Harker, and Lindsey Watson; eight great-grandchildren: Logan Rodgers, Garrett Rogers, Luke Watson, Treyton Rogers, Trace Harker, Karsyn Harker, Collyns Watson, and Brynlee Rogers; and a host of other family and friends.


Visitation: Wednesday, September 23, 2015 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Faith Chapel Church in Vanzant, Missouri.

Funeral Service: Thursday, September 24, 2015 at 10:00 AM at Faith Chapel Church in Vanzant, Missouri.
