Leroy Kapke

Leroy Kapke, age 94, passed away June 12, 2023, in Hartville, Missouri. He was born February 23, 1929, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin to Alfred and Alma (Reinemann) Kapke.

Leroy enlisted in the United States Army on February 19, 1951. He served until receiving an honorably discharge on February 3, 1953.

On December 9, 1978, Leroy married Joyce Vogel in Tomahawk, Wisconsin.

Leroy was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Mountain Home, Arkansas.

He was an outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting and fishing. His home and land were a place of peace, and he really enjoyed peace and quiet.

Leroy’s surviving family includes his stepchildren, Ruth Wachholtz of Hartville, Missouri, Mark Haggith of Lebanon, Missouri, nephews, Dale, Alan, and Glen Just, other relatives, and friends.

Besides his wife he was preceded in death by his parents, Alfred and Alma Kapke, sister, Lois Just, and brother, Harvey Kapke.
