Leslie Danielle Tinsley was born on March 2, 1986, in Columbia, Missouri. She passed away on July 27, 2026, at her home in Mountain Grove, Missouri, surrounded by her family, at the age of 40.
She grew up in Norwood, Missouri, where she attended school and graduated from high school with the class of 2004.
Leslie fought a courageous four-year battle with cancer, facing each day with incredible strength, determination, and grace. Though cancer may have taken her body, it never took her spirit. She remained the funny, feisty, and spunky woman so many knew and loved.
Leslie was the kind of person who would always have your back. She had a heart full of love, a quick wit that could make anyone laugh, and a personality that left a lasting impression on everyone she met. She found joy in life’s simple moments, whether she was working on puzzles, creating beautiful crafts, or spending time in the kitchen baking her famous pumpkin rolls for those she loved.
Halloween was one of Leslie’s favorite times of the year, and she never did anything halfway. She loved going overboard with decorations, making the holiday unforgettable for her family and everyone around her.
Above all else, Leslie’s greatest joy was her family. She treasured every moment spent together, creating memories that will be carried in their hearts forever. We find peace in knowing that she is now healed, free from pain, and resting in the arms of her Savior. We take comfort in believing she is rejoicing in Heaven with the Lord.
Leslie was preceded in death by her grandmother, Julie (Jett) Golden.
She is survived by her husband, Chris Tinsley; six daughters, Katie Tinsley, Kiara Hurt and her husband, Owen, Chloe Tinsley and her fiancée, Jakob Norman, Raylee Strunk and her fiancée, Dylan Wilson, Reina Tinsley, and Lexie Tinsley; six grandchildren, Remington Tinsley, Claire Vonallmen, Amelia ‘Millie’ Norman, Porter ‘Porter Bear’ Hurt, Taitum Rae Wilson, and Creighton Norman (on the way); her parents, Lonnie and Joni Mayfield; one brother, Tyler Harris and his wife, Stephany; one sister, Taylor ‘Tay’ Mayfield; two nephews, Austen Harris and Dylan Harris; her two fur babies (teacup yorkies), Ozzie and Mox; and many other extended family and friends who will miss her very much.
The family will be hosting a memorial service for Leslie at Basil Springs Venue at a later date.
