Lisa Mae Shannon

Lisa Mae Shannon, daughter of the late Lyle D. and Fern E. (Smith) Shannon, was born on February 6, 1965, in Mountain Grove, Missouri. She passed away peacefully on July 19, 2026, in Springfield, Missouri, at the age of 61.

Throughout life, Lisa, affectionately known as "Spanky," loved spending time with her family and friends. She was especially fond of sharing stories with the little children. She enjoyed watching NASCAR, dancing, and rock & roll music. She always loved the Christmas season and looked forward to it each year. Lisa was of the Christian faith and loved Jesus.

Besides her parents, Lisa was preceded in death by her brother, David Shannon; and sister, Mary (Shannon) Byers.

Lisa is survived by one sister, April Shannon; nieces and nephew, Summer Cain, Amber Amundson, J.D. Byers, and Brittany Lasley; great-nieces and great-nephews, Maya Cain, Jaydan Amundson, Trusten Amundson, Celie Cain, Lucas Cain, Jaylen Byers, Harper Byers, Ethan Lasley, and Ryan Lasley; and great-great-nieces and great-great-nephews, Aylah, Coleman, Daphney, Zayvia, and "MyMy." The Shannon family would like to thank the staff and residents at Wilson Creek Nursing and Rehab for their care and love given to Lisa. She considered you all family as well.

"Spanky" will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew and loved her.

The Shannon family is planning a private celebration of life to be held later at the Vanzant Community Building.
