Michael Gene Lindsay

January 21, 1950 — March 22, 2022

Michael Gene Lindsay, son of the late Billy Jean Lindsay and Thelma Wanita (Bryant) Lindsay, was born on January 21, 1950, in Ada, Oklahoma, and departed this life on March 22, 2022, at Mercy Hospital in Springfield, Missouri, following an extended illness. He was 72 years, 2 months, and 1 day of age.

Michael grew up in Oklahoma and had a long career in retail sales management with Anthony’s and Stage stores. He retired in 2009.

He married Teresa Davis on December 31, 2005. They made their home in Mountain Grove since October of 2008.

Mike enjoyed golfing, fishing, and camping. He took great pride in the care of his lawns and landscaping and was always busy outdoors. He was a huge sports fan, especially when it came to the Oklahoma University Sooners. Needless to say, red was his favorite color. Mike truly enjoyed being with his grandchildren. He was saved and baptized at a young age, and he attended First Christian Church when his health permitted.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Pamela Kay Garrett.

He is survived by his wife, Teresa Lindsay of their home; one son, Zachary Lindsay of Duncan, Oklahoma; five daughters, Tina Chester of Texas City, Texas, Amie Moore of Duncan, Oklahoma, Gena Webb of Marlow, Oklahoma, Sabrina Dobson of Hartville, Missouri, and Courtney Hook of Mountain Grove, Missouri; fifteen grandchildren; one great-grandchild; other relatives and many friends who will miss him very much.
