Nicholas Offill

Oct 15, 1997 — Jul 1, 2026

Mountain Grove

Nicholas Paul K. Offill was born October 15, 1997, to Mike and Claudia Offill, at Texas County Memorial Hospital in Houston, Missouri. Nicholas came into this world as a fighter. From day one, Nick was a huge miracle and a blessing. This was Nick’s world and we were honored to be a part of it.

Nick gave the biggest hugs, even though he squeezed so hard that it took your breath away. That was a true Nicky hug! He was always smiling or doing his ornery giggle. Nick was a simple man. He loved many things, but he was always thankful for just a simple prize, a new stuffed baby, jerky, hot Cheetos, or something small. They truly meant the world to him! He was a big collector of his fur babies, and he had hundreds of “stuffys”. They were his friends and he also called them “two-babies”. One of his favorite activities was going to Austin Lake with his dad and big brother. He also loved trips to “Donalds” (McDonalds) for chocolate shakes and cheeseburgers with Sissy and Fred. Nick loved “Twistmas” (Christmas), and it was absolutely his favorite time of year. At Christmas time, he was known to say, “HO-HO Man”…if you know, you know! He loved Christmas so much that Sissy took up donations for Christmas stuff to make him his favorite Christmas bedroom, and he was absolutely in love with it!

Nick loved his puppies, Muggsey, Goliath, and his princess, “Doughey” (Chloe). Nicholas was deeply loved by his family. He taught so many people how to love without judgement, and he never met a stranger. Nick gave the best kisses followed by, “Tiss the hair.” Our world lost a bright light, but our Nicky is dancing and singing in Heaven and doing all of the trick-or-treating that he can. Down Syndrome did not hold him back, and he overcame many of life’s struggles. We will miss you always, Nick!

Nick was preceded in death by his Grandpa and Grandma Haynes, his Grandpa and Grandma Offill, Grandma Josie, Grandpa Art Roe, and Great-Grandpa and Great-Grandma Berry.

He is survived by his parents, Mike and Claudia Offill of the home in Mountain Grove, Missouri, sister, Michelle Offill of Illinois, brother, Joshua Offill of Mountain Grove, Missouri, sister, Jamie (Offill) Jaeger and husband, Fred, of Mountain Grove, Missouri, brother, Jordan Offill and wife, Megan, of Nixa, Missouri, nephews, Jayden Offill and wife, Macie, Gavin Jaeger, Mason Jaeger, Fallon Jaeger, Oliver Offill, James Offill, nieces, Nora Offill, Milana Offill, Evangeline Offill, and Virginia Offill, and many other extended family and friends who will miss him.
