Patrick Michael Eagon

May 11, 1949 — August 17, 2025

Ash Grove, Missouri

Patrick Michael Eagon, son of the late Robert and Joyce (Morgan) Eagon, was born May 11, 1949, in Artesia, California, and departed this life August 17, 2025, at his home in Ash Grove, Missouri, at the age of 76 years, 3 months, and 6 days.

Patrick grew up on the West Coast, where he spent his time surfing and attending car races with his father. He graduated from La-Mirada High School. In 1969, Patrick was drafted during the Vietnam War and proudly served in the United States Navy as a dental assistant for 4 years. His service to his country was far from over. He enlisted in the National Guard and served for a short time, but he then decided to enlist in the Army Reserves. During this time, he went back to school and became a licensed practical nurse and served several more years, rising to the rank of Sergeant First Class.

During his time in the Army reserves, Patrick held a civilian job with a travel nurse agency. It was during one of his work assignments, in 2000 at a skilled nursing facility, that he first met Denise Goodman. Just 5 short years later, after many coffee dates, he and Denise were united in marriage on June 26, 2005.

In his spare time, Patrick loved to garden; he had a green thumb and could grow an apple tree in the Arctic Circle. He loved sports cars; not only did he like to drive cars, but he also loved to tinker with them. He enjoyed listening to classic rock and even played bass guitar in a band for a short while.

Patrick was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Joyce Eagon, as well as several cousins and extended family.

Patrick is survived by his loving wife, Denise Eagon, of the home, two sisters, Linda Eagon, DeeDee Haslam, five biological children, Doug, Stephen, Betsey, Evelyn, and Emily, five stepchildren, Max, Zac, Jessica, April, and Emily Mae, as well as several grandchildren, cousins, and many friends.

Patrick was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. He leaves behind a legacy, and he will be greatly missed by all those who knew and loved him. His country will be forever thankful for his dedication and service.
