It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Paul Wayne Owens, also known as “Paul Wayne” and the most fun "P.W. Skunk hunter". He was a beloved father, brother, grandfather, and friend. Paul was born on July 22, 1962, in Greene County, Missouri, and peacefully passed away on May 15, 2025, at his home.
Most of his working career was in Heating and Air Conditioning, which he loved. He had survived a lot of hardships and overcame them all. He would tell you it was all through the grace of God. He grew up just North of Fordland, Missouri, and remained in this area his entire life.
Throughout his time with us, Paul touched the lives of many. His love for God and life itself made him a beacon of positivity for those around him. Paul loved to share his faith with others in his later life, the lessons from which he famously encapsulated in the phrase, "God is great!"
Paul was a man of many talents. In his free time, he loved tinkering with motors and playing his guitar, keeping those around him entertained with his music. His love for his grandchildren, Aliya and Amara was evident, as he included them in his favorite recreational activities. Perhaps his most significant accomplishment was his daughter, Crystal Owens, and his beloved grandchildren Aliya and Amara, who each held a special place in his heart. He was also very close with his sister Kim.
Paul was preceded in death by his father, Donald "Wayne" Owens, and his mother, Shirley Ann (Brake) Owens.
His spirit and love for life, lives on through his daughter, Crystal Owens, his sister, Kimberly (Owens) Cornelison, and her husband, Tim, two grandchildren, Aliya and Amara, as well as a nephew and great-nephew. His love for God and life will continue to inspire his family and friends.
Known for his colorful life and his keen ability to enjoy each moment to its fullest, Paul had a warm and welcoming personality. He made friends everywhere he went, and his departure leaves a void in our hearts. However, his legacy of love towards God and life will continue to inspire us.
To say he will be greatly missed is an understatement. Paul's family and friends will forever cherish the time they spent with him, remembering him as a beacon of love and a testament to living life to the fullest.
A Celebration Of Paul's Life will be planned at a later date
