Ralph Meredith

Ralph D. Meredith, 86, of Mountain Grove, Missouri, born August 14, 1934, in Rushville, Illinois, died Wednesday, July 14, 2021 in Springfield, Missouri.

He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather. He was known as a lover of God, a worshiper, a friend, a prayer warrior, and a wise counselor.

Mr. Meredith retired after more than 30 years of federal civil service in Illinois. He and his wife then moved to Hermann, Missouri, where they started Meredith Technologies which served the Hermann community for more than 20 years.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Rev. Roy F. and Mary (Gregory) Meredith, his sister, Mary Ella Newcomb, and his son, Jay P. Meredith.

Surviving are his wife, Sandra C. (Stovall) Meredith, whom he married September 3, 1955 in Granite City, Illinois; his children, Scott Meredith and wife, Nolene, of Seymour, Missouri, Mark Meredith of Franklin, Ohio, and Melanie Mathes and husband, Rod, of Alton, Illinois; his sister, Ruth Lane of Maryville, Illinois; his grandchildren Justin Meredith, Brendan Meredith and wife, Brittany, Max Meredith, Phelan Meredith, and Maggie Mathes; and his great grandchildren, Sophia Meredith, Joe Meredith, Abigail Meredith, Liam Meredith, and Luna Meredith.

Burial with full military honors will take place at Missouri Veteran’s Cemetery, Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri, on Monday, August 16, 2021, at 11 AM. Arrangements are under the direction of the Craig-Hurtt Funeral Home of Mountain Grove, Missouri.
