Rebecca Sue Walters, of Springfield, Missouri, was born October 6, 1974, in Kansas City, Missouri, to Lee Winston and Ruth Anne (Halsel) Walters. She passed away at home on June 30, 2026, in Springfield, Missouri, at the age of 51.
Rebecca graduated from Norwood High school in 1996 and worked for Unique Services in Mountain Grove, Missouri, for over 22 years. She had a huge collection of dolls in her room that she loved and cared for individually, as they were her “babies”. They brought her much joy. Going to town is something she loved to do, but her favorite place to go was church. Rebecca adored going to and doing anything family related. She truly loved and enjoyed her family. Rebecca also loved coloring, arts and crafts, and anything involving Mickey Mouse or her favorite color, pink.
Those who knew Rebecca knew that she loved to give great big ole’ hugs and will remember her saying “What are you doin’ here?” or “I got you!”.
Preceding her in death were her parents, Lee and Ruth Walters and her brother, Douglas Robert Walters.
Rebecca is survived by her brothers. Brian Walters (Amy), of Springfield, Missouri, and Tony Clark (Cindy), of Kansas City, Kansas; sister-in-law, Laura Campbell (Brian), of Mountain Grove, Missouri; nieces, Stacey Tipper, Sherri Madziala, Mariah Carnahan (Kenton), Shaela Smith (Dawson), and Kristy Clark; nephews, Brian Walters Jr. (Jorja), Aaron Walters, and Shane Walters (Autumn); 3 great-nieces, 2 great-nephews, and many loving friends.
If desired, memorial contributions may be made in Rebecca's name to the Orchard Crest Baptist Church building fund.
