Robert Vanorden

Robert Myron “Bob” VanOrden, Sr., son of Edward Samuel VanOrden and Eva Irene (Wallace) VanOrden was born August 30, 1942, in Mount Pleasant, Michigan, and departed this life June 4, 2023, at his home in Mansfield, Missouri, at the age of 80 years, 9 months, and 4 days.

Bob was united in marriage to Barbara Keith at Mansfield First Baptist Church on April 12, 1974, and to this union a son was born.

He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Walter, Louis, Dale, Junior, and Larry VanOrden, and sister, Betty Weller.

Bob is survived by his wife, Barbara, of the home; son, Robert Myron “Robby” VanOrden, Jr. and wife, Mary, of Marshfield, Missouri; four grandchildren, Andrew VanOrden and wife, Tiffany, of Lebanon, Missouri, Austin VanOrden, Abigail VanOrden, and Alyssa VanOrden, all of Marshfield, Missouri; two great-grandchildren, Benjamin McKay and Maya VanOrden, and a third one on the way, Maverick VanOrden; two brothers, Roy VanOrden of Midland, Michigan, and Paul VanOrden and wife, Val, of Centralia, Michigan; two sisters, Doris Mumy of Midland, Michigan, and Linda Duran and husband, Ray, of Plano, Illinois; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

He was born in Michigan and moved to Mansfield, Missouri, in the early 1970’s where he worked for M & S Development, Hunsperger MFA Station, Ken Ballew Hatchery, and the City of Mansfield.

He enjoyed mowing his lawn, tinkering with lawn mowers, and drinking COFFEE!

Bob was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, uncle, and a caring neighbor and friend. We had many special times together that we will always cherish.
