Manes

Ruth Ellen Wade, daughter of the late John and Helen (Plum) Yager, was born July 17, 1931, in Springfield, Missouri, and passed away January 25, 2024, in Manes, Missouri. She was 92 years, 6 months, and 8 days of age.

Ruth dedicated over 35 years of her life to enriching the lives of countless individuals through her career at Manes School. She played various roles throughout her tenure, leaving an indelible impact on students and staff alike. Ruth's commitment to the children extended well beyond the classroom as she nurtured the development and growth of several generations.

Aside from her professional accomplishments, Ruth was a loving wife to her late husband, Kenneth Wade. They were united in marriage on December 24, 1950, in Springfield, Missouri. Theirs was a partnership built on love and mutual admiration that served as an inspiration to all who witnessed it. Ruth was blessed with a beautiful family that brought joy into her life.

Ruth's generous nature extended beyond her immediate family as she deeply cared for those around her. She had an unwavering dedication to being a truly extraordinary grandmother. Affectionately known as "Grandma," Ruth poured love into the lives of her grandchildren and took immense pride in every milestone they achieved.

In addition to family gatherings filled with laughter and warmth, Ruth found solace in a range of hobbies and interests that brought color to her life. Her green thumb transformed her flower garden into vibrant, blossoming flowers, offering solace during quiet moments spent among nature's beauty. Baking was another passion that provided comfort not only for Ruth but also for those lucky enough to savor the delicious treats that emerged from her kitchen. Doll collecting became a treasured pastime for Ruth. She meticulously built a collection that showcased her appreciation for the intricacies and artistry of these delicate treasures. It was a testament to her attention to detail and her appreciation for the simple joys in life.

Ruth embraced life with kindness and positivity and leaves behind a legacy of selflessness and warmth that will be cherished by all those who were fortunate enough to know her. Her kind heart, caring nature, and unwavering generosity served as an inspiration to others. Her love for the Lord was evident in the life she lived. She remained faithful attending Embree Community Church as long as health permitted. May her memory be a beacon of light that guides us towards kindness and compassion in our own lives.

Besides her parents and late husband, Ruth was preceded in death by two sons, Kevin and David Wade; and two brothers, Paul and Johnny Yager.

Ruth's memory will forever be etched in the hearts of those she leaves behind. She is survived by her son, Bill Wade of Manes, Missouri; her daughters, Cathie Baldwin and husband, Charles, of Manes, Missouri, and Connie Armstrong and husband, John, of Willow Springs, Missouri; one sister, Linda Erwin of Independence, Missouri; and a total of forty-two grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren. Each one carries on a part of Ruth's spirit and will forever carry her love within them.
