Sarrah Naomi Dugger, daughter of the late John and Florence (Owens) Ratterree, was born May 14, 1935, in Graff, Missouri. She went to her heavenly home on May 27, 2026, in Mountain Grove, Missouri, at the age of 91.
Naomi grew up in the Graff community. She was united in marriage to Donald Dugger on August 29, 1957, in Graff. Two daughters were born to this union: Karen and Teresa.
Naomi and Don purchased a farm in 1959 and began their life-long journey as dairy farmers. Naomi was a wonderful homemaker, taking care of her family and helping manage the farm. After they retired from dairy farming they began beef farming.
Naomi enjoyed cooking for her family, sewing, quilting, gardening, and working word search puzzles. Most of all, she loved serving the Lord. She was a charter member of the Hopewell Free Will Baptist Church, where she served in many capacities over the years including Sunday school teacher, vacation bible school, and clerk. She was well known for her peanut butter and jelly sandwiches enjoyed by all those attending church camp. Naomi also served as the neighborhood babysitter. Children seemed to be drawn to Naomi, she had a special way of making each child feel loved.
Besides her parents, Naomi was preceded in death by her husband, Don Dugger; grandson, Brent Benson; great-grandchildren, Caleb Benson, Isaac Benson, Paislee Murray, and Lauren Toth; and siblings, David Ratterree, Don Ratterree, Edna Oliphant, and Delores Turner.
Naomi is survived by her daughters, Karen Benson and husband, Mike, and Teresa Murray and husband, Keith; grandchildren, Robert Murray, Terry Murray and wife, Jackie, Amanda Rhoads and husband, Josh, Sarrah Wasie and husband, Mark, and Bobbi Benson; fourteen great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren and another one on the way; brothers, John Ratterree and wife, Brixine, and Jerry Ratterree and wife, Irene; numerous nephews and nieces; and a host of other relatives, church family, and friends who will miss her dearly.
