It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Shane Lee Hylton, age 48, on June 11, 2025. A devoted husband, loving father, and cherished friend, Shane leaves behind his wife, Stacy, and two children, Brody and Charlee; his parents, Lloyd and Loretta Hylton and Linda McGowan; brother, Jason (Kristi) Hylton; mother-in-law, Brenda and Kenneth Koontz; father-in-law, Jerry Brummet; sisters-in-law, Kerri Rogers (Brandon) and Amy Berry (John); nephews, Luke Hylton, Will Hall, and Owen Berry; nieces, Jaden Hylton, Sydni Hall, Logan Rogers, Zoey Criner and Elley Criner. In addition to his family, Shane was a friend to many. He created a circle of friends who will miss him dearly.
Shane was preceded in death by maternal grandparents, Gordon and Vera Bergholz and Lee McGowan; aunt, Patsy Ransom; paternal grandparents, Joe and Thelma Hylton; and uncle, Lonnie Hylton.
Shane was born on June 30th, 1976, in Springfield, Missouri, to Lloyd Hylton and Linda McGowan. He grew up and graduated from Mountain Grove High School in Mountain Grove, Missouri. Throughout his school career he enjoyed track, football, and basketball. After graduation he moved to Georgia where he graduated College at Valdosta State University before moving back to Missouri to be close to family and friends. He was an avid golfer and a talented racer. In his younger years, he made a name for himself as a skilled racer (#88) and spent many joyful hours with friends and family on the greens. He became a celebrated winner in both the Battle of Loto and the Battle of Branson, where his skill and determination were unmatched.
Above all, Shane was a family man who treasured his time with his wife and children. He was a devoted husband and father. His family was always his greatest source of pride and joy. His children will cherish the memories and the lessons he imparted on them. His unwavering support whether it be gaming with Brody or volleyball with Charlee and boundless love. He will be missed by all who knew him.
