Sharron Woods

Sharron Kay Woods, daughter of Floyd Kelley and Alpha (Cartwright) Kelley, was born July 18, 1945, in Exeter, California, and departed this life January 30, 2024, at Heart of the Ozarks Healthcare in Ava, Missouri, at the age of 78 years, 6 months, and 12 days.

     She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers, Lowell Kelley, Noel Dean Kelley, and Carl Kelley, sisters, Shirley Cottengim and her husband, Jack, and Sue Matney, step-brothers, Mike Ryan and David Ryan, and step-sister, Sherry Ryan.

     Sharron is survived by her son, James Williams and his wife, Louisa, grandchildren, Jessica Lathrom and husband, Dustin, and Craig Williams all of Mansfield, Missouri, great-grandchildren, Austin Minks and fiancé, Presley Peterson, Tessa Jenkins, Brooke Jenkins, Ryder Lathrom, Hunter Lathrom, Remington Lathrom, and Liam Lathrom, brothers, Jesse Kelley and wife, Barbara, Bill Kelley, and Rick Kelley and wife, Nancy, stepbrothers, Jim Ryan and Joe Ryan, step-sister, Marilyn Flake and husband, David, sisters-in-law, Lucille Kelley and Barbara Kelley, numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.

     She was born in California and moved with her family to Missouri where she attended Hartville Schools.  She was a certified nurses’ aide at the Northwest Missouri State Hospital in St. Joseph and worked for almost 30 years at Hutchens’ Industries in Seymour, before retiring in 2008.

     Sharron was of the Baptist faith.  Spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, whom she deeply loved, was most important to her.  In her spare time, she enjoyed baking, sewing, gardening, and fishing.

     Sharron was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and a caring neighbor and friend.  We have many special memories of our times together.
