Sheila Harrison

Sheila J. Harrison, 82, of Hartville, Missouri, died Monday, June 2, 2025, at Rocky Ridge Manor Nursing Facility in Mansfield, Missouri. Graveside services will be held Tuesday, June 10, 2025, at 1:00 PM at Steele Memorial Cemetery in Hartville, Missouri, under the direction of Craig-Hurtt Funeral Home.

Sheila was born April 1,1943, of humble beginnings, and was adopted by Samuel William and Lois Mae (Dendy) Harrison of Breckinridge, Texas. She later relocated with her parents to Missouri. Being born hearing and developmentally impaired, Sheila had some extra obstacles to overcome in life and attended special schooling to learn lip-reading to help with that. She later married Robert Bailey and bore two sons, Michael and Russell. The couple divorced and the sons were also adopted and raised by Sheila’s parents, Sam and Lois Harrison.

Sheila is survived by her two sons, Michael Harrison of Hartville, Missouri, and Russell Harrison of Indiana; two grandchildren, four step-grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, and seven step-great-grandchildren.

Sheila was preceded in death by her parents, Samuel and Lois Harrison and brothers, Darryl Harrison and Charles Harrison of Texas.
