Shirley (Mabe) Coffey

Shirley Maxine (Mabe) Coffey was born April 11, 1958, in Manes, Missouri, to Orville and Wilma Mabe and departed this life in her home surrounded by family and friends Tuesday morning, May 18, 2021, at 63 years, 1 month, and 7 days of age.

Shirley grew up in Manes and later moved to Mountain Grove. She was a homemaker and loved spending time outdoors: hunting, fishing, and planting flowers. She loved spending time with family, friends, her grandchildren and bossing around her husband, Larry Coffey. Shirley met Larry in March 2005, and they have been inseparable ever since. (Shirley wouldn’t let him go anyway!)

Shirley is preceded in death by her parents, Orville and Wilma Mabe, two sisters, Sandy Hicks and Rhonda Metty, and one brother-in-law, Bill Metty.

She is survived by her husband, Larry Coffey, daughter, Tiffany Dugger of Grovespring, Missouri, son, Jonathon Dugger, of Grovespring, Missouri, stepson, Brad Mabe, and his wife, Tammy, of Mountain Grove, Missouri, stepdaughter, Kasey Mitchell and husband, Jeremy, of Houston, Missouri, daughter-in-law, Jeanne Dugger, seven grandchildren, Kyerria, Devin, Preston, Delaney, Chloe, Trevor, and Grayson, one new great-grandson, Stetson, brothers, Mike Mabe and David Johnson, along with many friends and family who will miss her dearly.
