Tabby Skaggs

February 9, 1977 — May 8, 2025

Mansfield

Tabatha “Tabby” Jean Skaggs, the youngest daughter of Lonnie and Bonnie (Luckey) Rogers, was born in Mansfield, Missouri, on February 9, 1977. Tabby gained her wings on May 8, 2025, at her home near Mansfield, surrounded by friends and family at the age of 48.

Tabby loved cooking at her home and watching cooking shows. Her home had a warm feeling with her love for decorating and collecting “The Pioneer Woman” products. Tabby enjoyed spending time with her grandbaby, Brentley, while taking him shopping and letting him help her in the garden. Tabby’s personality was very unique; she put everyone's feelings before her own. She was joyful, kind, and caring. She would love you as if you were her own. Tabby had a passion for singing and dancing along to Hank Willams Jr. and anything with a good tune.

Tabby was united in marriage to Eric Skaggs along with three kids Macy Harrison, Dustin Skaggs, and Ty Gray in 2002. Then two kids were born into the union, Kody Skaggs and Shelby Skaggs. There was no doubt Tabby had a love for animals, especially dogs. Tabby's children were her main priority, always making sure they were taken care of and loved. Her heart was big and full of love; some might say she had a heart of gold. Tabby had a strong bond/relationship with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, and loved to read her Bible and watch Joyce Meyer. Proverbs 31:31 “Honor her for that her hands have done, and let her works bring her praise at the city gate.”

Tabby was preceded in death by her father, Lonnie Rogers; sister, Cindy Porter; along with other loved ones.

Tabby is survived by her husband of 23 years, Eric Skaggs; mother, Bonnie Rogers; older sister, Tammy Bell and husband, Chris; five children, Macy Harrison, Dustin Skaggs, Ty Gray and husband, Jeremiah, Kody Skaggs and fiancé, Madalyn Henry, Shelby Skaggs and significant other, Tyler Henry; five grandchildren, Brody Taylor, Chipper Shelton, Clayton Shelton, Kashlyn Gray, and Brentley Skaggs and one more on the way; along with many other friends and family.

Tabby was loved by so many and will be gratefully missed. Tabby’s wings were ready although our hearts were not, but we know we will see her again someday and we know she is no longer in pain.

The family is planning a memorial service for a later date.
