In Loving Memory of Thomas Irwin Sprague

Thomas Irwin Sprague, 85, passed away on August 12, 2026, at his home in Mountain Grove, Missouri. He was born on December 9, 1940, to Thomas and Lois (Miranda) Sprague in Davenport, Iowa. 

Tom proudly served his country in the United States Navy. On July 3, 1964, he married the love of his life, Patsy Lea (Dry) Sprague. Together, they built a life and raised their two children, Amanda and Thomas Sprague Jr. 

Tom was a man who enjoyed the simple things in life. He loved being outdoors, wheeling and dealing trailers, and listening to “Tradio”. He was also rarely far from his beloved dog, Daisy, who held a very special place in his heart. 

Tom was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Patsy Lea Sprague, and his son, Thomas Sprague Jr. 

He is survived by his daughter, Amanda Kelley and her husband, Mike, of Mountain Grove; his grandchildren, Tyler Jones and his wife, Gina, of Norwood, Missouri, Dusty Jones and his wife, Kali, of Mountain Grove, Missouri, and Macey Johnson and her husband, Brett Johnson, of Mountain Grove, Missouri; and his great-grandchildren, Layton Jones, Trace Jones, Haven Johnson, and Tripp Johnson. He is also survived by many other relatives and dear friends who will miss him very much. 

Thomas leaves behind a lifetime of memories, stories, and moments that will forever be treasured by those who knew and loved him. Though he will be deeply missed, his memory will live on through his daughter, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and all those who were fortunate enough to know and love him.

A private service will take place at a later date. If desired, memorial contributions may be made in Thomas’s name to the Brushy Knob Cemetery by way of the funeral home.
