Prior to moving to Missouri, Tom spent 13 years working in the coal mines of Kentucky. Upon arrival to Missouri, he and the family spent 35 years in the dairy business.

Tom was an avid mule trader and enjoyed spending his time with his mules. Tom once said, “I was raised on a mule.” As a child he would ride mules to his favorite fishing spot and go hunting, “hunting everything down to swamp rabbits and turtles.” Tom was raised on a river bend in Kentucky and used his mules for farming and logging once settling in Missouri. He hauled mules and horses out of Wyoming and considered this to be “big business” in his time.

Tom will be remembered for his storytelling and his love for his mules and horses. He lived a simple life but found the good in each day and loved making people laugh with his stories. He will forever be in our hearts and greatly missed by all that knew and loved him.
